Question about Activision Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare for PlayStation 3

1 Answer

I cannot read the screen. The letters are illegible. The remainder of the program works fine so far.

On what screen can you not read? Have you tried it on another screen? Have you tried to configure or change the screen by going to a screen brightness or anything? Please clarify, thanks.

Usually this is due to the tv settings or the ps3's display setings check there 1st do the automatic set up on your ps3 if its still a issue it could be the size of the tv any thing under 26 or compresses the words to small in some games

My touch screen keeps messing up, certain letters dont work.

I recommend you backup your favorites.

Then attempt a hard reset.

Finally, replace the firmware and system software using webupdate.
Replacing the system software will most likely correct the malfunctioning keying of letters.

I hope that helps.

I cannot program anything into directions because the screen does not bring up the number or letter when you touch it, it brings up the letter/number to the left of it. You cannot get the numbers/letters...

The problem is the screen needs to be calibrated, however this sometimes doesn't work if the touch screen is failing. I saw a lengthy procedure posted here in a different solution I have yet to try. But for the calibration you will go to menu - > display -> press FIND and follow the directions on screen. If calibration fails repeat, or find the other lengthy instructions here and try those. Several people claim they have worked, again, I haven't tried them. Another option is to purchase a remote for the unit. I have one and use it for mine because my screen totally failed. I have since replaced the screen with a junk unit I purchased on EBay but prefer the remote over the touch screen for most things. Remotes are about $30 bucks. If you're lucky you might be able to find a 2610 that includes a remote for around $50 and pick up an extra set of accessories. Good luck and post back if you have any other questions.
