Definetly replace the paper filter and yes Lowes will carry them.if it does not leak now, I would leave it alone or you will be installing a nine dollar kit.The briggs kit # is 294260 is you choose to do it anyway

All outflow stops when I start the motor on my Troy-bilt 2600 pressure washer. What's up?

Could also be crack/leak in HP pump. If it were left in cold weather without antifreeze, I'd check there first. Part + labor might warrant new washer if more than a couple years old.
Sorry.

Gas leaks out side of pressure washer

Your washer was sitting for a while I suspect. Check the carb and make sure it is tight to the engine. If it is then you will need to take the carb off, careful not to tear any gaskets. Then remove the fuel bowl and clean out all ports. Make sure to clean out the jet as well as I suspect the fuel is clogged in the carb and overfilling. Your needle valve is stuck open and then flooding your carb and spilling out the side of your engine. Make sure your needle valve and float can move freely before reassembling. Good luck

Troy bilt pressure washer air filter is flooding with gas

rebuild the carb and check the mounting seals between the carb, air filter and engine. It's probably just gummed up & it's not stopping the gas from free flowing into your airbox.

Have a troy built pressure washer and the gas is leaking out help

the float is stuck you can either take it apart and clean it or you might get by by just tapping lightly on the fuel bowl on the bottom of the carburator to unstick the float

Troy Built Pressure Washer 6.75HP Motor Leaks Gas from Carb

Sounds like moisture sitting in your carburetor bowl, while in storage, has caused some corrosion which is preventing the needle valve from closing. Drain your fuel tank and remove the small bowl at the bottom of your carb. Carefully clean the needle valve and seat with a soft cloth. Test the float to make sure there is no liquid inside of it and that it actually does float when suspended. Take care to reassemble the needle valve and float and bowl the way you removed them.

Troy Bilt power washer 020293- Oil in air filter

that is incorrect. if the oil has been over filled, it will saturate the filter element by way of the crankcase breather tube. it is the small plastic pipe that connects to the bottom of the filter housing. check the oil level. these machines take very little oil. approx 20 oz. if overfilled, it will leak out filter.
