My 32in. rca sdtv wont stay on turns off as soon as you turn it on. please help as i love this t.bv. by the way it has been unplugged for at least 3 months is there a reset button to.

Something in high voltage section is shorted. check the horizontal out put transistor. take it out,ohm it out to see if it is shorted. Sometimes when the horziontal out put goes so does the flyback transformer. If the horziontal is shorted, put new one in and before you turn it on, put a 100w light bulb across the terminals where the fuse goes. Pull the fuse out,connect the light bulb across the terminals. Plug the set in, hit the power, if the bulb just flashes and goes dim thats good. Probably no more shorts. If it stays bright then something eles is shorted maybe flyback.
