Well Im playing the twilight princess for gamecube on the wii. and when ever I try to target the pillars with the gale boomerang the R button won't work. I used the R button on other games it works fine. Help me

You don't have to defeat the boss to get it, you need to defeat the baboon monkey creature. You'll need to save some monkeys from their cages and head to the biggest room with all the doors and go to where the baboon took down the bridge. Now you can cross the gap using the monkeys and get to the room where you can fight him for the Gale Boomerang. He's in the room labeled #10 on the map.

You probably need to take a different route and do something else first, or if you have the gale boomerang already use that to spin the bridge. Here's a walkthrough of the Forest Temple....

You get the boomerang from the big monkey after you roll into the totem polls he's standing on in the battle. When he falls give him a bunch of good hits. Also, finding all the small monkeys can be tricky so pay attention to detail. By far one of my favorite games ever. Let me know if there's any more I can help you with!

If you have the gale boomerang you can get the compass from the hanging chest from the second room you explored.

If you have the Gale Boomerang, use it. You have to target the spinny-things at the tops of the bridges then throw it, it will cause the bridge to turn. But if you don't have the boomerang, you can't move the bridges yet, there is something else in your quest you have to do first. Oh, and depending on how far you get, at some point you can use a golden cucco to fly across, or Midna to jump across as a wolf. Hope this helps :)

You can't lock onto insects, atleast not without using a gadget. You'll have to target them with your grappling hook or gale boomerang to get them close to you so you can catch them (if these are the insects you mean, the Golden Bugs).

If you have obtained the Gale Boomerang go to the room inback of the temple entrance and knock down the hanging chest. It has the compass that will show the location of treasure chests and the monkey.

Obtain the Gale boomerang by defeating Ook. Then go back to those fans and look at the pattern on the floor. Target and lock on all four so the Gale Boomerang moves in the "Z".

You need your disc cleaned - take it to a local Play N Trade store and they should be able to get it back to work correctly

i think i know where you are in the game if i don't sorry and im only doing this by memory because i haven't played the game in ages. look on the ground there should ba a pattern use the boomerang Z target the 4 pillers in that order then release and the gate should open
