Check the resolution you have that port (monitor) set to. Most likely you have it set at a resolution that the TV doesn't like, or perhaps it is set at its lowest possible resolution. Just make sure it is set at whatever the highest your TV handles, 1920x1080, 1280x720, etc.

Testimonial: "Thankyou i realised that i had the wrong resolution settings."

I've been trying to fix the resolution settings, but it won't let me. I bought a 1080p, but it's only playing at 420i.

How do you use PS3 and DVD player with the Toshiba 32Dtu2 LCD TV?

The PS3 can be hooked up to the tv using either a HDMI cable or the old RCA (Yellow, Red, White) cables. If you are having problems viewing a picture or hearing sound, here is some trouble shooting you might want to try.

Connect the PS3 using both the HDMI and RCA cables. select the HDMI input on your tv. turn on the PS3. If you cant see a picture, press and hold the power button until you hear 2 beeps (this will take about 15 seconds). This resets the PS3 to the old RCA cables. Select the RCA input on your tv. Hopefully you can see the image and hear the PS3 now. Go to the settings on the PS3 and change the display settings to output video through the HDMI. Remember, your tv can only go as high as 1080i resolution, so you wont see anything if you select the 1080p resolution.

If this didn't work, you might have a bad signal though the HDMI cable. Unplug the tv and PS3 for atleast 30 minutes, and then connect the PS3 to the tv before you turn either one on.

If this doesn't help, then you might have a HDMI cable that isn't recognized by either your PS3 or your tv. Try replacing your HDMI cable.

Hope this helps!

Cannot connect my PS3 to Panasonic TV via HDMI, my PS3 will connect to other HD TVs using HDMI but not Panasonic

Does your TV work on VGA, it maybe worthwhile getting a HDMI---VGA lead and try that as it sounds like your TV isn't working, and you've tried the obvious. Do any other HDMI devices work on your TV, like DVD HD/SAT?

My picture is not cystal clear. Do I need a Hdmi cable with this tv or some kind of cable for a clear picture?

All HD televisions need HDMI cables for clear picture. If you don't have one, you're not utilizing HD. Opt-World has some good, low priced cables for HDMI.

I have a dell studio 1537 and i am not able to get picture when i connect my laptop to tv using a HDMI. i have tried everything possible but i cant seem to get the picture

make sure your pc is powered completely off(not a restart but a shutdown). hdmi cable should be unplugged. plug cable to tv first, then turn on tv. Now power up pc and it should recognize the tv. Use projector mode if available on your pc. do not unplug hdmi cable while pc is on or you may have to repeat process.

I have a 37'' Samsung LCD flaf screen tv and the picture all of a sudden is not clear. It is hooked up to directv box and the two other tv's that I have are clear. I also have a Wii hooked up to the tv and...

Try different ports. Use and HDMI cable and see if it is doing on it. If you are using a HDMI cable now hook the connection up with the component cables and see if it is doing the same thing. If it is clear on one of the other ports you have a port on your mainboard that is bad.

Vizio hd L37 tv not showing a clear picture

what type of input and device are you using? what type of connection? HDMI, Component, AV? DVD player, VCR, Cable/Satellite? Using HDMI will give you the best picture and sound. Best way to test is with a blueray or DVD player using HDMI input. If your picture is still bad, change the main board.

Using a Compaq WF1907 monitor with a Playstation3

No. HDMI transfers picture and sound, but DVI does not. You need a audio line as well.
