On a c350:
1.leave the machine on and open the front door
2. locate a small rectangular hole inside the front dooron the bottom right side corner
3. insert a small object such as a small ball point pen to actuate a switch that resets the error code the screen will indicate door open when the error is reset.this is a fuser error code so if the error keeps coming back the fuser will have to be replaced

There is a trouble rest button inside the front door above the fuser unit. There is a small panel with one screw in it, remove the cover and you will see a PCB with two black switch's on it. One is the trouble rest button, have the copier ON and press the trouble rest button and close the door and you are done... If it will not rest, check what you did and make sure it is put back correctly.

Printer (bizhub 350) keeps saying malfunction detected. shows code c-0500. what can i do?
The C0500 code means that the fusing unit is not heating up properly. The fusing unit is the part that gets hot and "fuses" the toner onto the paper. You are going to need to have a technician come out and diagnose the problem for you. Most common failure in the fusing unit is a blown thermal fuse. Next most common is a bad thermister, which is the part in the fuser that monitors or "reads" the fuser tempurature. Although rare you could also have a bad heater lamp. Removing the fusing unit and diagnosing which part is bad is not something I would recommend for anyone other than a trained service technician. At least you know what the cause is so you do not have to worry about getting mis-information from the service person. Such as if they say you need a new fusing unit. You just need the defective part replaced, NOT the whole unit.

Turn ON the Power Switch with the Stop key held down. it resets the error error its self means :
Warm-up failure

On the control panel, Check the right side of the panel if there a hole, and press it w/ a paper clip, it will reset the code, if not. It need a new fuser unit

should mean that fuser temp too low or high, try reboot. If just reboot wount help, hold down utility or stop key, then you should be abel to do trouble reset.
