Hey I dont know if you have this problem, but with mine the gasket seemed to be blocking the opening, so you could close it, but you had to shove a lot. The FP help line said to just unplug and replug in the unit. I did it and lo and behold it worked fine again. It did seem to leak a little bit the first time I reran it, but that seems to have gone away. Hope this helps

Thanks for taking the time to post this, turning it off and on worked for me too. I thought I was up for a new dishwasher.

If the key/ lock symbol is showing in the display, then it is possible you have the child lock on. Disable it by pressing the key/ lock button on the panel. Check your owners manual for the correct procedure for your model.

If this is not the case, then it is likely the drawer has come off the rails and is not able to slide right back. You will need to open the drawer and slides and refit. Unless you are technically savy you will have to contact a technician.

This happened to me, I got my torch and peered in from the bottom, and I could see in the top right hand side, a part of the roof had slightly dropped, blocking the draw from shutting (draw was open at its fullest) so I got 2 wooden spatulas with thinnish handles, I inserted one at the top in-between draw and roof to slightly pry open, so then this enabled me to see the dropped part - it was about 2cm in, so I used the 2nd spatulas to lever it up, then push the draw closed beyond the 2cm point, then I removed spatula's ad draw closed easily - so long as I do not open the draw to its fullest point, I can continue to use for ages.! God bless Fisher and Paykel.

Opened the drawer while it was running now the drawer will not close

Turn off the mains power and back on and see if there is any change.

The drawer lid is stuck in close position when you opened the drawer. Try to select another program on the panel and see if it clears the stuck lid.

Fisher Paykel drawer stuck closed how to fix.

Turn the mains power off and force pull the drawer slowly.. No jerky movements. The lid seal is stuck. Once open, check for any damage to lid seal by running fingers on the underside of the top of cabinet where the drawer slides in. Turn mains power back on. If the drawer does not slide back in then it is likely the lid seal actuator motor is stuck or power to motor has failed. Will need technician involvement to fix. If lid seal looks torn then it will need to be replace. Can cause leaks and further faults otherwise.

The top drawer of my Fisher Paykel two drawer dishwasher will not close all the way. Something appears to be stopping it. How do I fix it?

To find out what might be blocking it, you can remove the drawer. There are two tabs one on each side of the drawer near the bottom front. Push those in and pull the drawer out. You can lift the drawer up and push the slides in to get them out of the way. Then you should be able to see into the cabinet and what if anything is stuck behind the drawer

Fisher Paykel Dishwasher Door Open error code

If it is a dish drawer type there is a clip at the rear of the drawer that holds the drawer closed. you will need to withdraw the drawer partially to look in. with the drawer open the fingers should be facing towards you. If not you will need to reach in and pull the top of the fingers towards the front. there is a replacement arm that holds the pipes and cables away from this part.
