What does the Bone Mass number mean on my digital scale?

The manual that came with the scale doesn't provide any indication of what the numbers mean for bone mass. I'm 5'2'' and weigh 125 with a bone mass number (according to the scale) of 4. Is that normal? What are the ranges?

Hello,

I found this from another posting. Hope it helps.

FEMALES: age 20-29 normal= 6.2-7%
FEMALES: age 30-39 normal= 6-6.8%
FEMALES: age 40-49 normal= 5.6-6.4%
FEMALES: age 50-59 normal= 5.2-6%
FEMALES: age 60-69 normal= 4.9-5.7%
sorry no listings over age 69
My only thing now, is what it means if I am below the range.

Instead of showing my weight in pounds (168.00), the window is showing a different kind of number (75.). I don't know how that happened. What should I do to correct this.

Your scale is showing you your weight in kilograms what you need to do is change the settings so it shows you your weight in pounds or stones

Wrong weight

Finding replacement parts for store bought scales can be a fun experience to say the least. I would purchase a product from Seca or Health o Meter instead. Their parts and service centers are right here in the states and are genuine about their product accuracy and costomer service.

What do the three numbers represent? Weight is obvious, but "f" and then the last one?

I think this is the manual for the above mentioned product. Does it say f or BF? BF is % fat with in your body, although the techonolgy used is not too acturate, you can use it as a guide, to ensure the best possible acuracy be sure to use it at the same time of day preferably before drinking or bathing/showering. Usually first thing in the morning after you use the rest room is best. It uses electrical impedence to measure for the extra measurement features and these factors can skew the readings.

H20 would be water content, and

bone is bone denstiy which is important to keep take of espicially if you are an older female, or on medications that affect bone density. Although i am not sure how acurate the readings would be and highly reccomend if you are at risk for ostioparosis or any other diseases or on medications affecting bone desinties to check in with your doctor about testing and monitoring.

How to utilize the WW87 Glass Body Analysis Scale?

I discovered that it helps if your feet are slightly damp. I usually wipe them with a washcloth before getting on the scale. They don't have to be WET, just every so slightly damp.
