Question about Quasar VV-1302 13 in. TV/VCR Combo

1 Answer

Cable woes I hooked up my Quasar combo a few months ago, and it received all the channels. Then, I unplugged it for a while, hooked it back up, and suddenly I only got the first 30 channels or so. A while later, the other channels were available again, without doing anything. Then I unplugged it again for a while, and now I am back to just the first 30 channels. Each time I plug it back in after a while, it has to search for new channels. How can I get all the channels back?

I have done searched for channels and auto-set them many times; it is not that I cannot turn to the channels; rather, half are blank and the others are very distorted.

Get your remote, go to the TV menu and look for channel search or program, let the TV detect all channels.

you will have to do this if you unplug it or if the power goes out

hope this helps

Use a panasonic tv/vcr combo in my kids room, lost remote long ago. Never had any issues and then suddenly this popped up: CHANNEL/CLOCK AUTO SET Connect antenna cable and if you use a cable box, tune it...

Try unplugging the unit, and leaving it unplugged for a while. Also, press all the buttons while it is unplugged..

It is possible - hopefully - that doing so will "wipe" all the ongoing processes "away", and you'll get back to normal operation.

It is a crude form of "rebooting", and it does indeed work for many different devices. Just unplug it for 30 minutes

I have a Quasar tv/vcr combo, model VV2007, I have no remote and bought a RCA universal remote and none of the 3 codes work, the most I can get out of it is channel and volume, I need to add channels but...

Sometimes the universal remotes do not compromise fully with certain models especially with combo models.
So you might a different type of universal type to connect with the Quasar codes, but it is ideal if there is the model mentioned in the manual of the remote.
Volume and channel working is what is most important and should be considered good enough.

I have a black box that appeared on my quasar tv. It will go away when I change channel or adjust the volume but then it'll come back within a few seconds.

This is the closed-caqptioning box. Work your way through the menus on the TV and turn off this feature. That should resolve the problem.

Quasar VV-1302: Cannot Program Cable Channels

If you let it autoprogram and all you get is channel 103. Move the TV back to the old connection and see if it autoprograms all the channels there. If that works ok then you have a problem with the cabe line that only has channel 103.

Quasar TV/VCR - how to UNDO autoset?

I find that sometimes you have to turn the antenna a little to receive more channels. Do you have a good booster? I gained an extra twenty to thirty channels by installing a good booster to my antenna.

Can receive only channels 1 thru 27 although connected to cable with 70 channels.

First you need to check if your set is in the cable mode and not antena mode,if the set is in cable make sure is in the standard cable mode and not another type of cable like HRC,if it is change it and try the autoprogram to set the available channels.I hope it helps.
