Initalizing DVD-Rs After learning from you that I should use DVD-Rs instead of DVD+Rs in this machine, I bought DVD-Rs and now the system won't let me initialize them. I've tried recording on them without initializing and they won't play on other DVD players. Any suggestions?

On the remote control, there is a blue "Magic Mic" button. Press on that your mic will turn on in any mode.
Just joking but I've been mad about how bad this LG home theater system is. It can only play extremely limited video files and turn off the mic in AUX mode. So the answer is you really can't do that. Buy a mixer instead.

Hold down the play button, it will take a bit but it turns of the child lock

Same speed U bought 1-4x 1-8x 1-16x make sure have same speed disc.

Make sure you are in the mode to view the videos you recorded and make sure the camera is plugged in to the power supply, then the finanlize option should be available

If "you got your stimulator" with a prescription and own it just call RS Medical & they'll reset you for free on the phone. That's what I did. No problem. Then a month ago I dropped & broke my unit so I thought I'd buy another on the internet since I'd paid RS over $4,000 on my orig machine & some supplies, and could find them cheaper on ebay etc. Then I called RS for a reset, they asked for the serial number, and I learned that not everyone OWNS "their machines". The one I'd just bought was a never returned LEASED item that many return demand letters had been sent out on. In other words, I was sold STOLEN PROPERTY. RS Medical wanted their unit back. I wanted my money back from the seller. Paypal WAS NO HELP. The replacement I bought has been flagged as stolen & will never be reset ---- don't get yourselves in this crappy position people, it's not worth it. Go to a Dr., get a prescription for the device, hope your insurance will pay a good chunk of it, and MAKE SURE IF YOU'RE BUYING ONE ON THE INTERNET YOU ASK FOR A SERIAL NUMBER OF THE MACHINE & CALL RS FIRST TO SEE IF THE SELLER REALLY OWNS IT (& this is hard enough working around the HIPPA stuff..), but they'll tell you if it's THE PROPERTY OF RS MEDICAL!!!

What sort of "recognization" is your TV showing? Do you get a blue screen but no AV?...accordianman

By mentioning that your disks are finalized, I am thinking that you are not creating the DVD in the proper manner. For DVD's to play back on commercial equipment, they have to either be authored, created from a ISO file, or cloned, bypassing the copy protection imbedded in many titles. Do a Google search on DVD authoring or cloning to learn how to sucessfuly create DVD's that will play back on your home player.

First off, I would like to say that DVD-R is not necessarily better than DVD+R. Some older DVD burners would only recognize DVD-Rs and thus had to use that format. Now on with your problem. There is a possibility that you got a bad batch of DVD-Rs. I had that happen to me once. I had a 50 pack spindle and not a one of em worked. I got a different spindle of the same brand but a different lot, and they worked fine. Hope this helps. Good luck.
