Fuji S3500 won't turn on

Hi Folks

I am having problem with my fuji finepix S3500. I connected it to my laptop, and I did accessed my pictures, but unfortunately the battery was low on power, and it powered down. Now, i have tried new batteries, and it is not powering up at all. Somebody posted a solution, to leave the new batteries in for an hour, and try again, still not working. Any possible solution will be much appreciated.

Thanks for your possible solution. The batteries are new, not mixed up old & new, and they are in the orientation. NO battery acid on the contacts, I have just checked it now, even the inside connection too.

hi i had 2 cameras both now have the same fault wont turn on new batteries clean and correct polarity obviously a common fault any help appreciated thanks

I have a FujiFilm FinePix S3500. I can see photos on the camera in view mode. I am however unable to access these from the PC. At first the Memory Card appeared empty and now the USB connection no longer starts up when I connect the camera to the PC

Are they installed the right way? Also if you mixed old and new batteries, you need to use brand new ones. Another thing check to see if the batter contacts have any battery acid on them as this will prevent the batteries from working, if this is the case, clean them with REGULAR Coca cola or a generous amount of baking soda and HOT!!!! Water.

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

That S3500 is a defective product,get in contac to them idiots at Fuji. My S3500 was rarely used and it stopped working suddenly.

The problem is with either the flash unit, or the flash transformer. Unfortunately the only way to fix this, is to take it to a service center.
