Might be to a broken loading belt, or damaged loading gear wheels. Check it. If gear wheel is faulty, it will be best to repalce the disc loading mechanism.

You may have a loading problem, that can be caused by bad loading gears, broken drive belt, bad loading sensor. A technician can pin point the cause and give you a better idea what is going and if it can be fixed at a reasonable price.

maybe the spindle motor is defective so it cannot read the disc. just bring that your dvd to sony service center to fix your dvd.

most probably u need to get ur dvd drive replaced

This can be caused by several things, look at the bottom of the disc and make sure its clean (not scratched up ect.).

If the dvd is new and has never worked on your dvd player it is possible that the region setting's are different. Look at the back of the dvd case and look for a little symbol of a globe with a number in it (1-6) and post that please.

Hello I was looking to try and help you with your DVD player, we will start by loading a music cd store purchased, no burned cds please, if the cd loads and plays then your dvd player is either out of adjustment or going bad, most dvd players, i have worked on, will load and play a music cd, but will show loading errors when trying DVD's. If the music cd dosen't load then there could be an issue with the drive or tray. If the music cd plays just fine, then your laser is either out of adjustment or going bad. You can call the manufacuter to see if there is a process for resetting the DVD player, not all DVD players have this option, if resetting the DVD player dosen't work, but music cd's do then your laser lens is dirty or going bad. At this point you have three options 1) Take it to a repair shop, 2) Get an new one, 3) Get your hands dirty if your really handy and know what your doing to clean and replace the laser. You need to open top cover and look inside dvd player cd tray. Does dvd / cd disc spins or having loading problem because grrrrr seems mechanical problem.

3. Select- 0-0-0 on remote
4. Select 0 for all regions
5. Press PAUSE
6. Power OFF
7. Wait (about 30 secs)
8. Power ON
9. Watch DVD
