Hi, I searched and didn't find an answer. I have the Pioneer p880prs unit and it set to odd stations only. Can it be changed to even numbers? Thanks, Natanel.

what I mean is that the tuner is set to USA tuner (ODD numbers).

Is there a way to change it to EURO tuner? (even numbers like 107.00FM)

  • natanel2007 Nov 14, 2009

SparkGAP, can you please guide me how to change the tuner from odd frequency to even one?

  • natanel2007 Nov 14, 2009

The tuner skips the even stations!

I cannot rich the 107.00 or the 107.2 etc..

It set to USA tuner and not to Europe tuner.

    How can I fix this?

  • natanel2007 Nov 15, 2009

    Hi,

You still don't understand the problem.

USA radio comes (from the factory) with odd stations tuner, when you manualy skip stations it skips in 200MHZ while the european radio tuner skips in 0.5 or 0.1 MHZ.

What I know I should do is to open the cover and switch between 2 resistors.

Can anyone please guide me how to do that?

    Thanks,

    Natanel.

The Pioneer p880prs is a USA model. If you want it to work in euro mode it won't as it is a USA model. You will have to buy a model to work in your area or country.

http://www.howstuffworks.com/fm-station-odd-number.htm

Read about fm stations at the link I posted. Your radio can NOT be converted to euro mode.

I am guessing you are not in the US? Sorry, but radios for the US are factory programmed to odd numbers only, and overseas radios are positive. Since the tuner is made into the circuit board, they are non adjustable. Hope this helps...

under preset tuning buttons 1–6.
Once stored you can tune in to those frequencies
with the touch of button.
1 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select BSM.
BSM appears in the display.

2 Press MULTI-CONTROL to turn BSM on.
Searching is displayed. While Searching is

will be stored under preset tuning numbers
1–6 in the order of their signal strength.
When finished, the preset channel list appears.
# To cancel the storage process, press
MULTI-CONTROL.
3 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select the desired
station.
Turn to change the station; press to select.
# You can also change the station by pushing
MULTI-CONTROL up or down.
# If you do not operate the list within about 30

look if u can't reach (tune in) as u say those 2 stations they are to weak for the radio to lock on to, there is no great mystery here, that is just the way it is, not all radio's are created equal I have 4 cars and every one is able to pick up stations that the other 3 can't. sorry but it all has to do with the signal strength of the radio stations and the tuning of the radio, there is not fauillt with the Super tuner radio.

Hi

You will need to rescan the stations and then manually assign them to the buttons you want to store them on.

To perform seek tuning - first press SOURCE until you see Tuner displayed.

Next press BAND until the desired band (FM-1,FM-2, FM-3 for FM or AM) is displayed.

Push and hold MULTI-CONTROL left or right for about one second and then release. Seek tuning starts as soon as you release MULTI-CONTROL and stations will automatically be stored.

When using MULTI-CONTROL you should turn it to change the menu option and then press it to select the menu you want.

When you find a station that you want to store in memory, turn MULTI-CONTROL to switch to the preset channel list mode.

Now turn to change the preset number (1 to 6) you want to use; press and hold MULTI-CONTROL to store it.

The number you have selected will flash in the preset number list and then remain lit. The selected radio station frequency has been stored
in memory and will remain associated with the button (1 to 6 ) you selected it to stay on.

    Hi

This unit is designed for use with frequencies in the N. American market. There is no Euro standard as the tuner is not designed for nor cannot pick up frequencies outside this band.

    Thanks for using FixYa.

Pioneer premier deh-p880 prs faceplate opens when you turn car off

The face folds down to give you the option to remove the face if you want. It will return to the upright position a few seconds later whether you remove the face or not. There should be a tab on the underside of the face you can push should you decide to detach the face from the chassis.

We just bought a new uniden phone system and the Answering Machine keeps answering the phone after 2 rings. I set the base machine setting to answer after 6 rings but it didn't change.

If you have changed the setting on the base station and that did not work, power your base station off completely and try again if that does not work you have an out of box defect and need to exchange it.

It only seems to tune in odd radio stations

Unless you're in Europe, it's not supposed to. No stations (in America) exist on even numbers.

Pioneer DEH-P690UB FM tuning problem

Pioneer have factory set your DEH-P690UB to 0.2Mhz steps to match the American FM frequency allocations. The fix is not casual as it requires complete disassembly of the head unit and repositioning of two surface mount resistors. This will void any warrantee and unless you're good at microscopic soldering could also ruin the set. I did however void my 2 year warrantee yesterday partly out of frustration and because I have the right SMT tools at work. Now my tuner CPU thinks it's in the Austrailian/Asian model DEH-P7950UB and is also compatible with UK stations. A previously hidden menu is also available where I can set either 0.1 or 0.05Mhz stepping for FM and 9 or 10KHz for AM BSM scanning. The rotary control now steps in 0.05's instead of odd 0.2's on FM Hope this helps.

FM channels

since the 70's when they started, FM radios in cars have only showed like 101.9 and 102.1 in odd number tenths-of-Megahertz only, with a few rare exceptions. There are some high cost receivers that will show odds and evens. Your 102 station is really either one of like 101.9 or 102.1 for your Pioneer.
