As on most Motorola phones, the lens that covers the main LCD must be carefully removed to access the screws underneath to pop off the exterior faceplate. Once that is done, there is a silver main casing that protects the LCD. Pry up the side to remove it. You will then be able to access the LCD for removal.

Yes , the flexcable is the problem but i do not advised that you do that yourself....it is best to take the phone to a mobile service shop and have them replace the cable for you.

There ares 4 screws (#6 torq) on the back side where you replace the battery. take those out and the phone come apart. Be carefull because the main board, key board and all will come apart with careful prying. Also watch out for the ribbon cable that connects the LCD screen to the main board
