4gb memory card in HP Photosmart R927 Camera? Yes or no?

Should I be able to use a 4gb memory card in the Photosmart R927? I have just bought one and I just get the message 'CARD UNREADABLE' I complained to the seller and they said to check if camera is able to use a 4gb card.

    You can't do that.
Thanks for your reply but I have already found out, this camera does not take any card above 2gb. Damn nuisance!!

4g sd card will not format camera says its lock but the caed is not locked

There are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". Some include trying to use of a 4GB SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Others include problems with the tiny slide switch on the side of the card, or the electrical contact switch internal to the camera. The problem may also arise from simple formatting problems if the card has never been formatted in the camera (note that this will also erase the card). Troubleshooting tips for this problem may be found at this link.

My hp photosmart r927 is very slow when processing a picture. what could cause this?

Several things can cause this. 1. Low battery 2. Memory card almost full 3. "cheap" memory card...too slow at writing data 4. Card hasn't been formatted in the camera for a long time. This will erase it so download any pics to your computer first.

HP R927 says that the 4GB card i recently bought wrong format

ok ...see that into the side of the card( if its a SD) has a slide like button with 2 positions ...one of them is the unlocked one ...after that either format it into the camera if it has that feature...or just connect it to the computer and it will be found somewhere into the My computer as a removable drive ....just right click and format in Fat 32...this is the actual storage format fit for this cards..

Will an SDHC card work in the HP photosmart R927?

No, it won't work unless HP provides a firmware update. Hp has two websites that mention what type of sd cards are compatible with your camera. One says it is and the other says it isn't. I have a HP R967, which is similar to yours. I bought an HP sdhc card from a HP website that said both our cameras could use it. I own several of this model camera, (I bought 3 to give as gifts) and the sdhc causes the cameras to display 'wrong format.' I suggest calling HP's headquarters and asking them to provide a firmware update similar to the one that HP offered for the HP M537 camera and that Casio offered for their older cameras to let them use this type card, which is what I've been doing.

HP Photosmart R967 memory card is locked...

I have an HP R927 and just had the same problem. Take out your memory card. Look on the side of the card and you will see and white "knobby thing" ... make sure it is pushed up ... that should fix it.

I have a Photosmart R927 HP digital camera...I have had this camera for several years. I have not used in a couple of weeks. Turned on camera today and my screen reads "CARD LOCKED". I have never...

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Hi! Unfortunately that camera does not support memory cards over 2GB. Get a 2 GB SD card and it will work.
