It seems the solder is broken in Vertical Convergence Amplifiers or it is damage internally. This model has 2 Conv. Amps: 1 for Horizontal (Red, Green and Blue) and 1 for Vertical Convergence output (Red, Green and Blue), if the convergence does curve at the top and bottom, it is because Vertical Converegence output is no good. The Conv. Amp. costs around 20 dlls. Thats why you can not fix it with the Menu option. Good luck!

Hitachi 43FDX01B green is out of whack

The green is not adjustable in the customer menu because it is considered the 'master' color. It is adjustable in the technician mode however but if it is curved it won't even adjust properly that way either. The problem is the convergence ampifier responsible for green convergence has failed. The convergence output IC's need to be replaced.

Picture not clear

CONVERGENCE problem.. with convergence problems on these sets i always start the diagnoses with some questions. IS the picture curved in at top and bottom? or is it just in certain parts of screen. Go to setup in cutomer menu do you have the convergence option in the menu. if you do not try reading the fl231 fuse problem in the tips and tricks section of this website. that is a simple and inexpensive repair. if you do have the convergence option then you may have a problem with one of three different cuirit boards

Red curves on bottom and top of picture

You have a convergence problem. Here are some of the most common symptoms.

Screen looks 3D
One or more colors can't be adjusted when when using the convergence menu.
Screen is bowed in but stationary.

Solution:
You need to replace the convergence chips and convergence resistors. Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kit for your exact model. The kit inlcludes a photo instruction guide, original Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, etc. Everything you need to fix it yourself. Its an easy fix.

Rca projection tv

this is a indication of convergence problem. the curved picture indicates total or a complete loss of convergence power. I first recomend you read the artilce in tips in tricks section. the fl231 problem it might be this if you do not have the convergence options in setup of customer menu. if not it might be a convergence power board issue

Convergence. shadowing, arch top and bottom, red and green colors

You have a convergence problem. i see these set all the time at shop. first consult the article in tips and tricks section the fl231 fuse problem. it might provide some answer and might turn out to be a simple repair. If you do not have the convergence option under setup in customer menu then i say you have that problem.. otherwise it sounds like a convergence power board issue. if you have the options try autocovergence first and then if that fails try manual convergence of red and blue if the dont move then it will be convergence power board. let me know and ill try to talk you through it

Picture has 3 images, all different colors (red-blue-green) screen looks concave in the middle top & bottom

This is what is known as convergence..(very common)... first question DO you have the "CONVERGENcE" option in your setup menu?.... if you dont there may be a special fuse issue... if not then more than likely it is what is known as convergence power supply issue. you have complete loss of convergence?
