Re: Bosch Exxcel WVT1260 On drying the heater seems
Check your venting. If the water vapor can't get all the way outside, your dry times will be longer than usual and the steam will come out the front when you open the door. You may need to clean your ducting, which is a good idea anyway to reduce fire risk.

and have you checked the heater element for continuity? also check to where the wires are connected to the element as well sounds like a short to me Thanks Rick
Bosch dishwashers do not have a heated dry option, the water is heated with a inline water heater but it does not have a heating element to dry the dishes. Make sure that you use jet dry and that you open the door when it is done, after an hour or so the dishes will be dry. This is a common issue with the Bosch dishwasher, but not a problem with the unit
You should have a cycling thermostat. this is most likely bad or your dryer vent may be clogged. Something is cutting the heat off before it gets hot enough. Both these cause this problem.
First clean filter for lint - next be sure the temp sensor at blower if free of lint - next, in the heater contrl unit, two solinods contrl the heating process - I hope it's the first two ideas - Try it - Good luck
I have a Haire combo unit. (washer/dryer) The dryer is a condenser type. I had a this problem with the dryer part of my unit. It was still under warranty at the time so naturally I called. When the tech came out he discovered that the heating element had melted the fan all over the blower elements. this problem could have been fixed, however, Haire came out with a newer model and couldn't get the parts anymore because they weren't making them anymore. Needless to say that totally sucked. But, at least the washer still works great. Upon doing a little research, I discovered that most condenser dryers do get too hot to support one or more of thier internal elements. I would not get another dryer like this without asking about this problem and if there has been any rectification of this issue and how so.
