Hi Roy,
There are two different solutions which can be applied to resolve this error.

There are 2 reasons Y Outlook would not open, If the Outlook profile is corrupted or the Outlook data file which contains e-mails, contacts are corrupted. Create New profile in Outlook : Got to start -> Control Panel -> Mail -> Show Profiles -> Ad new profile and setup your e-mail account if you know the settings if not call your Internet service provider and setup the account, once done select " Prompt for a profile to be used" so that when opening Outlook, it will give you option to select the new profile. Once you open Outlook in new profile -> Go to File -Open -> Outlook Data file -> Select "Outlook" file and click open, you will find another set of personal folder in outlook right hand side. If you are able to access it then go to Tools -> account settings -> Data file and make the Outlook file as default from "Outlook1" file. If you find it difficult please let me know, cause it is simple but may find confused o complicated.

Cannot send/recieve mail outlook express

If you have installed Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, it will set itself as your default mail client. Hit the Windows ball or Start button on the lower left of the desktop - All Programs - Outlook Express. When it opens; hit File - Export - To Outlook (Messages). Outlook Express will export all of your messages, contacts and account settings to Outlook 2007 and you will be able to use the better, upgraded Outlook Mail client.

Logged on and my email icon was missing as well as other icons. tried to start outlook and the message is simply cannot start outlook. cannot make google my home page as dell4me contiues to override any...

This issue may occur if you deploy Outlook 2003 with the Microsoft Office 2003 Custom Installation Wizard and specify a personal folder (.pst) file in the Windows Installer transform (MST file) by using the Default location for PST files path option. The problem occurs because you specify a file name instead of a folder path.

To resolve this issue for future installations of Office, use the Custom Installation Wizard to edit the MST file. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Change Office User Settings page (page 10 of 24), expand Microsoft Outlook 2003, expand Miscellaneous, and then click PST Settings.
  2. In the right pane, double-click Default location for PST files, and then type the path that you want in the Default location for PST files box. For example, type %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\.
  3. Click OK, and then follow the steps to complete the wizard. When you have corrected the MST file, deploy Office by using the correct MST file.
To resolve this issue for an existing installation of Outlook that is experiencing this problem, specify the .pst file by using the Mail icon in Control Panel.

Or If you are receiving and Err like
Error message when you start Outlook: "Unable to open the Outlook window," "No profile has been created," or "The list of Profiles cannot be loaded"Follow the step's below:This issue may occur on a computer that is running Windows XP if the Outlook.exe file was configured to open with the Windows program compatibility mode setting. When you set compatibility for Outlook to Windows 95 or to Windows 98/Windows Millennium Edition, Outlook displays this error message. This is because the location of the Outlook Profile information in the registry differs on a Windows XP-based computer.

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Locate Outlook.exe.

Outlook.exe is typically located in one of the following folders, depending on the version of Outlook that you are running:
    • Microsoft Office Outlook 2010 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14
    • Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12
    • Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 11
    • Microsoft Outlook 2002 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 10
    • Microsoft Outlook 2000 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 9
  2. Right-click Outlook.exe, and then click Properties.
  3. On the Compatibility tab, click to clear the Run this program in compatibility mode for check box.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Try to start Outlook. If you receive error message again, use Method 2.

Office Outlook 2007 crashing everytime

Hey,

I was having the same problem with Outlook 2007 on my Laptop, looked for all the possible resolutions but no Clue..
Then I tried to check the addins I was using in Outlook 2007, I found that after disabling the unnecessary addins from Regsitry I am able to use outlook 2007 without any issues.

For Disabling the outlook addisn you have to go to:
Start> Run> Type Regedit> Hit Entre> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>OFFICE> OUTLOOK>ADDINS there you will find all the Addins, Please right click on the onw which is not required to go to modify & change the value to 0.
It will disable the Addins from Registry. we can enable the Addin when ever required.

Close & re launch your Outlook.

Hope this will help you in resolving the issue related to the outlook crashing.

Cheers!!!!
