Hi , As far as i know , there are no W7 drivers available for this unit . Workround : install a virtual version of XP on your drive . Hope this helps , worked fine for me . Best regards .
Although Agfa no longer supports their scanners with drivers and software updates, some Vista and Windows 7 users say they are still able to install the XP software and get it to run. In another thread, broccauley said: 'I got my Agfa Snapscan 1212U scanner to work fine with Windows 7. All I did was to install the XP Agfa Scanwise 2.0.0.9 software FIRST (available from Agfa website). Then I went to Devices and Printers, right-clicked on the 1212U and chose "Troubleshoot" - Windows then found and installed the driver automatically.' Good luck!
You can run it in virtual PC for the mac here is the web page that gives all the downloads and you can ask the manufacture if they have a driver for youer operating system, since yo did noy state if you are running OS2 or OS10 and if you have virtual PC installed for xp or not here is the web site. http://www.nodevice.com/search/search.html?text=drivers+for+mac&search_area=all
As far as I can tell, the driver has not been updated for either VIsta or Windows 7. If you have Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate, you have a workaround option. Install the XP mode and then install the scanner to that virtual PC.
What o/s are you using ? - I have a driver downloaded from Agfa that worked OK with XP & previous programmes. If you are unable to sort it out please repost & I'll try to find it & send as an E-Mail attachment
Ony by downloading the revised driver from Agfa,
Going on past experience when the great move from 98[DOS] to XP[NTFS] happened it can be a fraught experience and very often a new scanner in this Case VISTA compatible could be the answer.
The VueScan program will work, but you have to go into device manager (Right-click "My computer" choose "Manage" select "Device Manager")
In device manager, you will probably see the scanner detected with a yellow triangle. Right-click the scanner and choose "Upgrade Driver" then choose "browse my computer for updated driver" and browse the the "VueScan" folder on your C drive.
Once you do that Vista will update to the VueScan Driver and you'll be ready to go (once you pay the nice folks at VueScan so that your scans don't have watermarks on them)
