I had to do this about a year ago. Google search... 2400 lexmark driver ... Lexmark has their drivers available online. Download and install the required drivers and software.

Looks like you have mentioned 2 printers. lexmark series 5300 all in 1 and the x2480. here is a link for the x2470 family which the 2480 is based. http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/2400/ug_en.pdf
Also here is the attached for the C5300 series mentioned just incase. hope they help.
I solved the solution by going onto the lexmark website and downloading the driver for my printer. The reason why it wasnt working for me before is because i had the wrong printer type selected.
