We lost our original remote also. We got a generic remote. It came w/instructions & a list of brands/devices that it will work with. I found Sanyo on the list & entered the code associated w/Sanyo into the new remote & presto. We were using our DVW 5000 again.
Not if you mean recording within that 1 unit from VHS to DVD.You would need a second unit DVD recorder which normally requires a digital input of some sort such as a cable box or a self-contained digital scanner but I am not sure if that would even work.It would depend on what the media input was recorded on the VHS.
I have a Sanyo Dvd/vhs player and I recentlty went to dish network instead of cable and I do not know how to get the player to work now so I can watch movies that I have rented. Can you tell me how to use the remote to watch movies.
