I turn the tv. on , the green light comes on then

I turn the tv. on , the green light comes on then it goes right back off. I unplugged the tv. to reset , but it made no difference.

    ok when i hold down the two buttons it has 2 blinks 3 times what does this mean

When you turn it on and it shuts off---ON THE FRONT OF THE SET PRESS AND HOLD BOTH THE MENU AND INPUT(DEVICE) BUTTONS TOGETHER FOR AT LEAST 5 SECONDS AND RELEASE BOTH BUTTONS.

Power light should blink a two digit error code---for example: 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks--This is the most common error code.


Let me know what error code you get and I will tell you what it means and if 2-2 what the problem is.

    Mine is doing the same thing and when I held the menu and input for 5 secs I got a 2 blink pause 2 blink error code................what now?

I have a mitsubishi rear projection tv (medallion).. The power will not turn on... blinking green light. I have tried reset button. Unhooking wires to tv front panel for remote use only... I am out of ideas. help

    1,2 is no error detected, try unplug the set for a few minutes and then when ready turn it on again and if green light goes out do self check again, if you unplugged set it will revert to no error found.

    Attn sd tec, I did what you said and now I'm getting code 2-2. Also on another of your treads I attempted to unhook the front keyboard by unplugging the two wires and turning it on with the remote, that did not work either. Thank you for your time and help, what's the next step? Can you tell me what 2-2 is?

back or front of tv .... this could be a blown tube if coming from front. from back there is a high chance this is a blown flyback. i have also seen a blown capacitor that blows a hole in the board. be careful leave unpluged.

My Sony comes on then both sound and picture goes black.
After being on a little while, the screen goes black (no audio as well) for 20 to 30 seconds. Green light stays on. Then, picture comes back on and takes a couple of seconds to get up to full brightness. About 5 seconds or so after the video comes back, the audio returns.

Until this morning, has only happened a couple of times a day, now happening more often. About 3 times in last 20 minutes.

KDF-E55A20 is about 3 years old.
