Make sure you unit is plugged into a modem, i.e you have an internet connection. Make sure the modem Ethernet cable goes to the WAN port, and not the LAN. On your PC, got to start:run and type in CMD. In the black box that opens, type in IPCONFIG
Should list your Machine IP, subnet and Gateway IP. The IP should be in something like 192.168.x.xxx. (The "X" can be any number up to 254.) If it is 169.xxx.x.x,, you are not getting a signal from your router to your machine. Try a different cable, Make sure you are using one of the LAN ports, and not the WAN.
