I am having a problem after installing my child's barbie girl installation disc. I keep getting an error message "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library' is in the blue top and the grey portion says "This application has requested a runtime to terminiate it in an unusaul way. Please contact the application's support team for more information". Afetr clicking ok another message comes up and says Matel.barbieirls.Tray.exe - Application Error' in the grey area "The exception unknown software exception (0x40000015) occured in the application at location 0x781346b6'
Can someone please tell me what the problem is?
First thing to check is to make sure your computer is compatible with the system requirements of the Barbie Girl. This sounds as if the Barbie Girl program is very old and you are using it on a very new computer. I've had this happen to me on vista with old windows 95 programs. Check your system requirements for that software, if it was designed for windows 95 it might not work. There might be a way to get it working in a compatibility mode which I can help you with, but first make sure your sys reqs are good. What version of windows?

The system requirements are windows xp/vista pentimm III 800 mHz 512MB RAM 200MB free space DirectX 9.0 or above IE 6.0 or later with SP1 & Macromedia Flash Plug In Internet Connection (broadband is the recomendation) Windows Media Player 11 USB 2.0 port CD Rom.
Now I have windows xp, Windows media 11 and IE 7. I don't know what the rest really are to be honest. What is broadband? I have LAN Internet Connection.
I have the same problem installing "Left 4 Dead" a Valve (Steam) Corp. PC game for Windows XP, and get the same Runtime error message 0x40000015. I'd like some help please.
