Just flip the breaker off to the range and let it sit for an hour w/ no power, then it should be just fine

Kitchaid electric range display PF what to do

PF indicates a Power Failure. Turn off the power supply (for 30 seconds or more) to the unit and then back on, select/touch the range cancel/clear pad and reset the clock. The range should work again, unless there was damage to the control during the power interruption.

My frigidaire oven overheated last night, we unplugged it and replugged this morning with a PF on the face. The plastic has melted a little. What should we do?

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire range overheated, so you unplugged it and plugged it in the next morning. I also see that when you plugged it back in there was a "PF" code displayed as well as some melted plastic. The "PF" code means that there was a power failure. You can clear that by pressing any button. As far as your appliance overheating and melting plastic, I suggest contacting the manufacturer directly for further assistance. They might be able to point you in the right direction to have it repaired. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

We had a power failure and Kenmore stove showed pf and now loc. cannot get burners to turn on and cannot get loc off.

If you have a power failure or a brown out, it sends a very powerful current through the unit. Please keep in mind that these units are not protected against any surges. If you have a display, that means you have power. Unfortunately, the clock/timer contains relays that control the elements, the oven, etc. You will need to replace the clock to get it running again.

Range GLP 85800 toop cook ok, flashing E1 -F1- and a few segments

F1-E1 - EEPROM Checksum Error - Disconnect power for at least 30 seconds and then reconnect.
Allow at least a minute after power has been restored and if error code reappears, replace control board (clock).

Pf??

PF means power failure.
For short outages the clock may still have correct time
(there is a battery backup for that), but the PF will
be displayed. Setting the clock will clear the PF
indication.

Press 'clock set-start' button, (under clock display)
enter time with numeric keypad,
press 'start' button. (to right of clock)
