I have a philips crystal 650 printer but need replacement driver software - where can I find preferably free. thanks Angela

Drivers are created by the manufacturer. This is made by the Swedish manufacturer, Sagemcom.

When I looked up the specs on the printer, I discovered that the manufacturer is Sagemcom. http://support.sagemcom.com/site/se/philips-fax-11/philips-crystal-660-337

Note that the top of the page tells you to go to a link for a critical update for the Crystal products. It will prompt you for numbers pertinent to your printer.

When you look at the bottom of that page, you discover the printer is XP SP2 compatible. There is no mention of it being Windows 7 or Windows 8 compatible.

Windows 7 driver.If you have Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate or Enterprise, you may be able to install your printer using Windows XP Mode.

You will have no luck searching for support on a Philips page but may through Sagemcom as advised above.

search on google website / wikipedia website ; just type " crystal 6500 instruction manual " you will get it

drivers and owners operating manual are almost always free for download from manufacturer's website. look for support or help sections. install drivers and software first, then connect device.

Here drivers for Mac OS and Windows XP, Vista drivers are not available.

This means your printer is using generic driver, not the real driver, make sure you install the correct driver, you can download it free from the manufacture website.

you'll need to go to lexmark.com for new drivers..the cd's are not always latest version.
