Try to restore to default setting, ( on setting menu) if it not work you'll need reflashing your psp under recovery menu.

hopefully this helps. Pls post back should you need additional information.

"Recovery Mode" is available if your PSP have Custom Firmware Installed. To boot under "Recovery Mode" > full turn off your psp (hold power button +3sec) > hold R(right trigger) while turn on psp. then select "Advance" > "Format Flash1 and Reset settings.".

If your psp haven't Custom firmware installed you can't boot into recovery mode. and you'll need Pandora's magic stick to reflashing your psp.

No sound when hooked up to macbook air.

Hi !!

Here's something you can try:

go to preference pane select sound then output bar and arrange the volume labeling , can you hear some sound.

Here's some other:

I have a solution for you all. This fixed the problem for me. First, make sure you are all running 10.5.5. If you are not, run software update from the Apple Menu. If you are set there, go to Applications --> Utilities --> Disk Utility --> Make sure your Hard Drive is selected on the left hand panel --> MAKE SURE the First Aid tab is selected! --> Click Repair Disk Permissions. This may take a while, FYI. As soon as Disk Permissions have been repaired, restart your computer right away. That fixed the problem at my end. Good luck everyone!

Last but not the least !

I had this very same problem. At some point I suddenly realised that I wasn't hearing sounds through my internal speakers and the usual volume keys did not produce 'feedback' when trying to increase or decrease the volume. So I opened my 'System Preferences' and rather than see the usual option of 'Internal Speakers', all I saw was 'Headphones' greyed-out with no other option.
But fortunately the fix is immediate and simple. Plug-in a set of headphones, take them back out again and viola! Inside the 'phone jack is a small optical sensor that 'sees' when a pair of headphones are in the socket. Sometimes the sensor becomes dirty and therefore 'blind' and assumes headphones are still plugged-in when they obviously aren't.
Just for fun, when I applied this particular fix, I opened up my System Prefs again and as soon as I withdrew the headphones, the option 'Internal Speakers' immediately appeared and the previous greyed-out 'Headphones' was gone.

Hope this would help !

My Speakers and Microphone on my Dell inspiron 15 Dont work

maybe you have a piece of your head phone jack stuck in the port, does the sound still come through the headphones if you re insert them? or have you tried control panel sounds to see if your default speakers have changed ?

No sound on psp only sound with headphones

you can check to see if ur speakers are unhooked but it takes patient to get to them and a steady hand! also it could be a hardaware or software issue but look online to see if you can take it apart to the speakers and check some show step by step taking apart the psp!

No sounds when i play psp games

1) Try plugging in and out the headphone jack with headphones and see if the speakers turn on
2) Make sure the volume button + is pushed until you reach max volume.
3) You may have a broken speaker from dropping the PSP which has occurred to me before.

The vol. is not working on my psp

Make sure the volume is not set to zero. Try raising the volume using the volume buttons located on the front of the PSP.

Make sure the mute setting is not on. Press the (Music Note), third one from the right, located on the front of the PSP® to clear the mute setting.

If headphones are inserted, the PSP will not send any sound through the speakers. To check that the speakers work, unplug the headphones.

Hope that will Fix Ya!

My psp speakers dont work the head phone jack came loose and only plays out of one head phone and the up joystick doest go up all the way in a game so i walk slow, can i fix these problems and how ???

You have either what is called a dry joint on the headphone socket or the headphone socket is broken.

When you plug the headphones in it switches off the speakers, so if the socket gets damaged or becomes disconnected from the board the speakers will also not work.

you need someone with VERY good soldering skills and a spare headphone socket to repair or replace the socket

Couldnt say whats happening with the joystick, maybe a bit of the headphone socket has got jammed in it, you probably wont find out untill the psp is opened up
