No Sound I am getting an error message on the screen of my cda 9813. The unit lights up fine and all of the buttons work but there is no sound. There is a cd in the unit and I am unable to eject it. I have tried to reset the unit but it does not work. All of the wiring seems to be fine. Anyone have any ideas?

I have the same exact problem... it just started today.

I have a CDA9813 as well, and mine has the same problem. When I turn
on the ignition in my vehicle, sometimes the unit works, and sometimes
it doesn't, even though all the buttons and display light up as
normal. Plus whenever that happens, the CD will not eject. I need to
turn the ignition on and off to get it to work. I have not gotten an
error message yet. I just replaced my unit tonight with a new cheap
Sony unit. I would like to try and get mine fixed. I suspect there is
a cold solder joint somewhere in the faceplate.

Man, my 9813 is doing the same thing as described. No CD eject, no sound from V-Drive or pre-amp. Everything else functions fine.

I have a spare 9827 sitting around, but I need the Bass Engine Pro capability to tune this system.(I'll never buy another Alpine without the BE Pro). My 7897 in the Mustang has never had an issue (better not at $600).

same problem, except mine will display an ERROR message after a few seconds...If I repeatedly turn the unit OFF and back ON, it will start working - I thought maybe it was the cold weather, but it does it even in Spring -

I have a CDA-9813. all controls are lock up with the exception of the source button which will change from CD and turner but you are not able to hear or change the channel. The tilt does not work or you...

You may just got a bad control logic board our a bad service capcitor inside, You may want to have it looked at by a Technition in your area I am sure you can come to a solutin to this problem.

CDA-9813 No sound, will not eject CD

There is a very tiny dot located either on the actual face of the alpine head unit or on the front plate of the radio once the face has been removed. Once you find this dot(if on the actual face) you need to make sure unit has power turned on and witha tiny needle or pick you may push this reset buton in for about 2 seconds. The face will automaticaly fold down and the disk will eject itself. Once this is done do not place the same disk back into the unit. Hope this solves your problem

No sound from my 9855 alpine

There is an option in the unit itself to turn off the internal amplifier. If you push the 'menu' button, then go to the setup/settings menu, and then i believe it was under the 'general settings' tab. there's a option called INT IC or something. Make sure that is turned on.

ALPINE CDA 9813

make sure that the acc and ground are hooked up right. acc has to be 12v. if you hooked it up to any other wire it will work until you(turn it up) draw more power than the wire you have it connected to can produce. or you have speakers that are faulty or too big for the alpine head unit.

Alpine CDA-9813 CD Player problem keeping the power stay on

i have that same problem. when i turn the volume up, it shuts off but comes back on right away. the only thing i can think of is i'm not running the constant power directly from the positive terminal on the battery (which is what is recommended). not sure if thats the solution but im gonna try and wire it right anyway...
