My Dacor wont heat, broil or convection after self cleaning. No heat but everything else works The bake, broil, and convection elements on my Dacor CPS130 electric wall oven will not heat.  The oven has full power, all cooking modes (including delayed start) and self clean have been checked and all appear normal except that the elements do not heat (the display reads 135 pre-heating.  Dacor tech support said (because I had recently broiled with the door open) that the high limit switch needed to be reset and that would have to done by a service tech.  If possible I would like to do this myself.  What is involved?  How is this done?

Like another person stated-from the front behind the door, take off the 6 screws and the cover by the latch. there is an "oven hi temp limit switch" It is crome with 2 heavy black wires connected to it. On the back side of this is a small red button which will reset the limit switch. I had the same issue (everything worked except the any of the heating elements) and quickly resolved.

This solution worked perfectly for me. My cover plate had 8 screws instead of 6, and the reset button on my "hi temp limit switch" was back and on the top, not red and on the back. Pushing the button rest it, and now everything works

No heat on convection or self clean

If you have been using the self clean feature, you have probably burned out or damaged the connections to the fan and the convection fan element or thermistor. NEVER EVER use the self clean feature.

My top oven won't reach temperature. Convection and broil work, bake doesn't. Over a year ago I did a self clean...hasn't worked since. I really need it to work especially with Thanksgiving next week.

It does sound like the element may be bad. The control will cycle the bake and broil elements to even the heat in the oven. if the element is out the oven won't heat well.

My oven will not heat up to temperature

It may be the bake element that has gone out. The self clean usually uses the broil element to heat the oven. And most oven will either put 120 volts to the broil element while baking or pulse the broil element while baking. This will cause the oven to get warm but not hot. Check the oven bake element it cound be bad or a wire may have burned off.

Frigidaire convection oven stopped working after self clean

Hello Margaux K - The unit needs to be reset. The temperature had tripped the internal sensor of the unit. This usually has to be done by a professional since the back panel needs to be taken off and the power reset inside.

Dacro Wall oven (electric) does not heat past 345 degrees on bake or convection bake but broiler works and bottom oven works fine (for bake, convection bake and broil).

it could be the oven temp sensor rod located near the top of the inside of the oven,or possibly the bake element has a hot spot on the element and can no longer pass enough current thru this spot to correctly heat to your settings a hot spot on the element will look discolored in this area

My upper oven/ convection function on my dacor ecs230b will not heat

Bake and convection bake settings both use the bottom bake element to heat. It would be unusual for bake to work without conv. bake working. You also have pure convection which uses a different element surrounding the conv. fan on the back of the unit. If you press a feature and nothing happens it's the touch pad. If it comes on then turns back off it's probably the ERC (clock). If it comes on and wont heat only in pure conv. possibly an upper relay board or element problem.

Dacor oven ECPS127S will not heat after self clean

the problem was fixed by opening the panel between the oven cavity and the touch panel just behinf the door. you can look through the grill but to trip the reset you must unscrew the panel. you will find the reset back behind the wires Looks a red button nestled on top not very open but it should be there> i do have to say i found a step by step description on this site. but right now i can't tell you who exactly he was.
