Most refrigerators do NOT cool all of a sudden, but rather gradually! If you need to cool something all of a sudden, you should consider use a freeze spray of some sort!
Check if the compressor fan motor is engaging. If the fan is not spinning then the coil will freeze up again. Also check that there is enough air movement around the fan for circulation. This is also try for the inside fan. Good luck
If the compressor is running and pumping with no heat produced, you have lost refrigerant.. Most modern freezers have a controlled fan so the coil can freeze before the fan starts.
Sounds like a bad bearing or dust accumulation in the CPU heat-sink fan. If the fan does not cool properly the CPU will overheat and shutdown or freeze the computer.
The condenser, cold coil, is getting too cold, "freezing up. Usually this is because the small tube that comes out of the temp. control is not in good contact with the coil. This problem is aggravated if the fan is run on too low a setting. To clear the problem cut off the cooling and just let the fan run. The warm air will eventually melt the ice and you will suddenly start getting a much larger volume of air flowing. Now turn on the cooling cycle and try operating the blower at a higher speed.
I have written a tip on this.
You may have a couple of problems. I would first replace the thermostat, and make sure you have the proper coolant(ant-freeze) level.
Please let me know how it goes and if you need further help I am here.
Sounds like the fan can be running backwards. I'm not sure of you exact model, but it has to match the air flow of the original unit. Do you remember? Some manufacturers use reversable motors and are some what easy to reverse.
