Purchased the 5300 in 8/07. Replaced the printhead 6/08. Again having printing problems, especially noticable with pictures. The colors are horrible and there are streaks across the pictures. Documents print with streaks of missing type. I've cleaned the printhead over and over as instructed, and changed cartridges. I just called customer service about our newer ESP7 with the same problem, and they're mailing a new printhead. I recommended these printers to my sister because of the price of the ink, and she has since bought 2. Neither of us are heavy printer users. Please advise.
Have your tired to update the firmware of the printer at kodak.com/go/downloads? make sure if you update the printer it must connected to your computer and it must turn On.,
If you will clean the printhead make sure its always deep clean and also you need to calibrate it also. I know you already familiar how to do it since you already contacted the Customer support.
You can always call Customer support., And if you experienced same problem using a printhead just less than a month and you updated the firmware it means the printer itself is the defective.
