Question about HP OfficeJet 6210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Scan/copy I have an officejet 6210 all in one. My machine says No Connection, Turn on/connect computer or install/run device software. Pleae help

    I used my scanner last on 12/31/07 it was fine. Yesterday I uninstalled the software and then reinstalled it. When I hit scan/copy it says no scan options you need to run or install software for feature.

First I would check the physical connection between the printer and the computer. Are all the connections pushed in all the way? Next, depending on operating system, I would make sure that the device driver was properly installed. Has this printer worked before or is this a new system? Oftentimes, uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver/software will get a machine to re recognize the printer.What brand/model#?

Can I connect my HP all in one device to my computer?


Yes you can connect HP Officejet 6210 All in One printer to your PC using USB Cable.
You need the Software to install.
Click on the Download link below to download the printer software/drivers If you don't have software disk.
Choose the operating system to download the software.

Download Drivers

Instructions :

Disconnect the USB cable before Installation of Software
Download the software and run the file to start installation
At a particular point, it will prompt you to connect the USB Cable to PC Port. ( Make sure the Printer is Powered On )

I have the all-in-one Hp officejet 6210 and I was able to scan all of the sudden it says I have to install or run device software and I have done that already and it won't allow me to scan. What can I do... says to install or RUN device software...have you tried to run the software program? Try to open it up, and see if you can scan from the program. If that doesn't work, I would reload the CD and try again. Could be a problem with the CD, officejet, or computer driver, but it sounds like the computer driver is failing to work, which is why I recommend reloading it. Good luck...hope this helps.

Nothing happens when i press scan button

Nothing will happen unless it's connected to a computer with scanning software running. If you want a copy you press copy and it will scan and make a copy, but if you want to scan you need the software to tell it how to scan, what you're scanning, and how to save the scanned image.

Printer not scanning

Hi ststh222 - Below you'll find a link for the software you need. Just select your operating system and then download the full feature driver/software package. Remember the location where you downloaded it to on your pc. Uninstall your current printer and driver. Go to start then printer and faxes. Highlight each device one at a time and then on the left side click on delete this printer. Once you've done that, unplug the printer from your pc and run the software you downloaded. Hi , try to visit web site of hp for downloading device printer.
Click the control panel to install device just instruction screen instruction .
check also the device manager connection.
