Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is only on the XBOX 360, PS3, and PC. It is not available for the first XBOX console. That is why it will not read the disc.
I had the same problem with the same game, try diff games. if the problem occurs with other games as well then you need a new driver. if you don't have any more problems then your cd is damaged. you don't have to see visual signs of damage on cd for it to be bad, mine was new too.
