DWC283BLS compressor running but not cooling. Can compressor appear to be running but thermostat is keeping it from cooling or impacts the compressor starter circuit. I swapped the temperature sensors and the sensors work when plugged into each others plug but the bottom sensor circuit does not appear to show the temperature via the sensor regardless which one is used. Can that circuit keep the compressor from getting all the voltage it needs to cool?

Unit will not stay cool. Is it a thermostat, compressor?

Small refrigeration units like this one like to fail to cool by developing a small leak and slowly
leaking refrigerant.
THERMOSTAT FAILURE CHECK:
A technician will check the thermostat using using a DMM (digital multimeter). But you can suspect the thermostat if you set the thermostat high and the compressor motor does not run,
then set thermostat low, and the compressor motor also doesn't run - in other words, the thermostat is failing to start the refrigerator's refrigeration system no matter what its setting - an obvious failure of the thermostat.
COMPRESSOR FAILURE CHECK:
If the compressor is dying, you would hear the compressor running almost constantly, but not
sounding quite right (uneven noise, clunking, tapping).
REFRIGERANT LEAK CHECK:
If you unit is low on refrigerant (due to a leak), the compressor motor will be running
almost constantly, but it will sound Ok.

Our danby dwc 283bls is not cooling. The motor

If compressor is running and it gets hot and the unit does not cool the compressor is bad or you have a leak in the system. if you see oil there's a leak.

We have a danby dwc283bls wine cooler that no longer cools, and the compressor gets warm (above normal) does it need to be recharged

that's always a possibility but not always the case. The thermostat may not be cycling correctly or set wrong. The condenser could be dirty or if there is a fan, it may not be running. Freeze ups can also cause an "Out of temp." condition. Check it out.

Compressor runs and gets hot but does not cool unit

This product has been discontinued
i dont think many danby units are parts supported
more likely generic after market parts fitted by air con mechanics do the job
relay first might be a thematic one and an compressor motor fan relay
then check gas pressure

Thermostat ?

The Air conditioner are good only the adjustment of thermostat are the problem, select the thermostat in lower #3 you observe the thermostat will off in such time temperature reach to #3 If you full adjustment the compressor will not off.
In fan selector the compressor will autamatic off because no connection attached fan only .

Fan not working

Does it have a compressor and does it run? If so there is probably a relay on that board that is bad or only runs with the compressor.

Cooling

Check if the condensar ( outside fan unit) is getting enough free ventilation. IF there is no free air flow you will mostlikely be triping the unit due to short cycling. Ie the unit is pulling its own discherge air causing the compressor to trip due to high back pressure

Danby DWC283BLS Wine Cooler - Error message E3 & E4

Is the compressor running? I don't know this unit, but know that if you are too warm that is the first thing to check. In reading about another unit that had a different problem, it was mentioned that there is a ciruit board. If it has relays on it then these are the most likely culprit. They are either not making contact or staying in contact too long... sometimes just tapping each relay usually a black plastic component will cause it to work intermittently..Not sure if you can get these but call the company help line at 1-800-263-2629.
