I just changed a few songs on my mp3 player, but took out the USB too soon. When I started playing it, some of the songs were either choppy or skipped over. I tried to hook it back up and fix it, but my computer showed that it got corrupted somehow and the program says the player is not connected, even though it is. I reinstalled the program, same thing happens. The USB is fine, but when I connect it, the pop window says there's no USB port connected, and when I try to turn on my player, it's stuck on the CREATIVE logo. What should I do?
·1. remove all creative software from your pc (do this from start menu/settings/control panel/add or remove programs)
2. Uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and Windows Media Player 11 runtime. This will rollback the pc to an earlier version of WMP.
3. Download the latest version of the zen driver from this location: http://us.creative.com/support/downl...ame=Windows+XP
4. Make sure the zen is not connected to the pc and install run the exe file to install the software on your pc. at some point, the install will tell you that the unit is not connected. Connect the unit to proceed. it will also notify you that you are replacing an existing software, or something to that effect. I accepted or said OK to this popup. Once the firmware is installed, my started to work fine. You can now reinstall WMP from microsoft website. Hope this works for you. you might want to verify that your new player has the latest firmware available, as this might address the unresponsive-button issue you're having. Firmware updates are surprisingly easy - you just download the firmware file from Creative's website, plug in your player, and double-click the downloaded file. It's that easy. All else failes download the recovery tool from creatives website.

maybe they got corrupted try putting them on the music player again or try getting the same songs but diff versions of the file and you could try last to convert the songs to a diff format then put them on the player if its the the same songs on both the players that wont play then its the songs and not the player
You can put it on shuffle mode, and then it will play a new song everytime. Also, check if somehow you got some songs into a playlist or folder. If that is the case it may start from the same song everytime.
i have formated my Ipod and the songs present in it were deleted and now it can not play any other song. Should i convert songs to ipod . and how can i convert?
well it shouldnt play the first song in the folder. it should automatically play the song where you left off. and when you are changing the EQ, make sure that you are pressing in the selector key. (the key at the bottom to the right of the volume control keys) as it may take a while to adjust to your volume settings
Your Computer may not be recognising it.
If it came with an installation cd,i suggest you reinstall but back up your music on a memory stick or recordable cd.
I would also try using another usb port.
I Doubt its stopped playing because its been dropped on the floor as my best friend has one of these, and her one has been dropped in the bath,on the hard floor lots of times and still works
here is a fix if your creative zen nano plus just hang on the creative logo when you turn your player on.
download, Creative ZEN Nano Plus firmware.
you can find it at the creative website, download section.
double click the file you just dl'ed, now make sure your
zen nano player is already connected to your pc when you run the file. it may take a bit of time before your pc can detect your zen nano be patient, a window prompt will soon appear asking if you want to update your firmware with the one youve just dl'ed.
now, dont worry if the firmware is the same as the one already
installed in your zen nano, just continue with the update.
you can also check the box in which there is the option of also formatting the drive. ( note: all files in your zen nano will be lost)
after the firmware is flashed you can now play and transfer files to your zen nano plus.
Recommend you take a look at this Creative MP3 PLayers FAQ site, it has a lot of info. BTW, I have the Nano (but not Plus) and I think the reset-switch hole they refer to is next to the USB connector on mine.
