The clothes are soaking wet after the run on the machine. It seems the spin function is not working. I have a maytag neptune model front load.

I have the same problem. I have spent about $1,400 in repairs on this damn machine since we bought it about 8 years ago. It works for a bit then something else goes wrong. This is the fourth time I've had this problem.
It's the belt, it's the motherboard, its this its that $200 a pop. Just enough to say ok, any more I'd buy a new one, then a few months later something else happens.

What happened to Maytag? My mom and grandmother both had maytags for years, decades without an issue. The new ones ****.

Hello becca_m2012 ,

Is the machine a FAV6800A or FAV9800A. If it is one of those models are you failing in Spin Cycle of the Wash Cycle with a dC or Uc error code to the display? Lets nail down the model number and I will try to point you the repair path......Rich

Will not do final spin cycle leaving clothes

Your drain pump has something lodged in it. Remove drain motor, open it up and inspect for obstruction. remove it then reassemble.retrywashing cycle.

1999 Maytag Neptune front loader

Have you replaced your 12002535 door latch wax motor if you have a MAH3000, MAH4000, MAH5500A or the 2000 stacker? These wax motors will eventually fail on every Neptune shipped. When the wax motor fails the upper machine control board be damaged and you will lose your spin function which leaves your clothes soaking wet. There is a website that offers a repair kit to see if your control board is useable again. Don't keep starting machine because you might cause further damage to control board and the motor control board located near the floor until you see if R11 is burnt on the upper machine control board located behind the timer.
