If you have the rest of the Microsoft office programs already installed and running, the number is the same. just activate it in the help dropdown. If you just bought it, the number is with the packaging. If you don't have it, contact Microsoft and they will provide tha number when you register your product. You will need proof of purchase so they know you don't have a pirated copy.
If Excel is currently installed on your computer, open Excel, go into the Help menu, then click on "About Microsoft Excel". It will show you who the product is licensed to, and the Product ID (this is NOT the product key).
You could then either contact Microsoft to request a replacement key, or try a software programme which will convert the Product ID into a Product Key. A free download is here:

Unfortunately, in this situation it is illegal to share keys to software like this. You should be aware that either yourself or any person that provides you with such a key, are subject to extremely severe penalties under the law if MS were to to persue a case for breach of software license.
