Gestetner 2822 error code e-5

When i turn on the system copier gestetner 2822, on display appear the error code "E-5". I press the button "." and appear the code "42".

I got a strait black thin line on left marging of paper. i think margin setting of my Gestetner 2822 has been changed. but i don't know how to fix this problem. (107-C, ???)

Turn of the Gestetner 2822 and pull your paint down bring your dindong out and **** IN IT! Make sure Gestetner logo/name get wet too! I hate these copiers and they are not helpfull! they want your money!

The problem in the fuser unit.Clean and measurement the continuity of the heater lamp,thermistor and thermofuses.To reset enter in the SP mode Total clear 107 clear open the front door,turn OFF the main switch and unplugged the copiers.Wait 10 seconds plugged on closed the front door,and turn ON the main switch.

To rest the error code > press the yellow Clear button then enter 1,0,7 then press and hold the red Stop button and hold till the screen changes. Then turn the main power switch OFF then back ON..... If the code comes back, you may have a thermister that is shorting out. Good Luck

Have a Gestetner Dsm520pf - it says scanner locked
First try unplugging the machine from the wall for 5 minutes and then plug it back in. If this doesn't work, you can try this: 1. Press Menu on the control panel until "Maintenance" appears on the top line of the display. 2. Press the scroll button until you see "Clear Memory" on the bottom line and press Enter. 3. Press the scroll button until you see the item you want to clear. I'd recommend the last option, Machine Setup, but be aware this may clear all settings out of the machine. 4. Press Enter. 5. Return to Standby Mode by pressing Clear/Stop.

Gestetner 2212 copier Service Code SC542 I"ve
In your machine (model) you have to enter in SP mode to reset your error code.
Try this:
Yellow key.
1-0-7 on the key pad
Red key at least 3 sec.
Press "copy sp"
On the key pad press 5 810 and #.
Press execute
Exit all the way out.
Turn the machine off and on.

The Gestetner and Infotec copiers is based the RICOH.Please try the Ricoh sercice enter code (press total clear key(yellow) -1-0-7 and press and hold down the C key more 4 second.Eneter in the service mode and turn OFF the copiers,unplugged the cords.Wait 10 sec.amd plug in the cords and turn ON the power switch.If is not good the 107 code try 104 or 102.

Gestetner DSm615 giving error SC:552,How do i clear it
Are you sure of the code? I don't have the exact manual for that, machine but the number seems strange. "5xx" errors are usually related to the fuser, so could be a bad lamp, thermistor, or fuse. see note to reset (if there is not a problem) as follows:
There are 2 levels of service call conditions.
Level Definition Reset Procedure
"A"
To prevent the machine from being
damaged, the SC can only be reset by a
service representative.
The copier cannot be operated at all.
Enter SP 5-810 (SC code reset) and
select “1”. Then hold down the Original
type key and the OK or ! key at the
same time (this does not require the
main switch to be turned off and on).

Hie I have a Gestetner DSm615 which is giving me error code SC:552.How do i solved this problem?
Enter SP mode by pressing;
  • Clear (yellow) button
  • 1 0 7
  • Press and hold the Stop (orange) button for 3 seconds.
  • Switch off and on the machine.
If SC 552 (Fusing warm up error) appears again, possible causes are;
  1. Fusing thermistor defective or out of position or dirty with toner
  2. Fusing lamp open, and
  3. Power supply board defective.

Plz help
Did you try to diconnect the finisher or sotor from the copier? Is the error code a E 900. You may have a problem with your finisher. It can also be the hard drive on the back of the copier, it is used with the finisher. Try to unplug the finisher with the power off and tur it back on.Will that fix the problem for now....
