When i connect a dvd player, i get sound but it wont show the video, just a black screen . The screen still shows like settings and things so i know it still works.

The emergency break wire is not connected correctly. This wire needs to be grounded to a chassis ground. Or the Yellow video cable is not connected or is not working correctly.
To fix this issue on the back of the double din touch screen#uv8020, splice the pink wire, and splice into the (black) ground wire connecting them together. This will enable you to watch dvd;s whie driving.
just bought a new car with one of these dvd players. when i put a dvd in, the sound is working fine but the screen says it cant show the picture because the car is in motion
have you tried other devices for input...vcr, or other dvd players to see if it is a problem with the player or with the tv? Check the output setting for the dvd player (1080i etc) and ensure you are connecting to the proper inputs for either analog or digital signals (RCA inputs or RGB).
