I would like a circuit diagram for a Kleenmaid CH 14 Cooktop

I would like a circuit diagram for a Kleenmaid Cooktop Ch14 and an explanation of how the heat sensor under the glass top works weter it switches the active or otherwise. I have a dual element which now only the centre element heats when I turn the control knob either way. I have just fitted a new thermostat, originally the outer element was on all the time so I assumed that the contact in the thermostat was welded closed. The thermostat I fitted was not the same as the one I removed so am not totally sure of connections but was suppplied to me as a replacement it is an Invensys M82314.

Hi, I too have had a problem with the dual element on the Kleenmaid CH14. Likewise I was given an Invensys M82314 which as you will know is not configured in the same way. However, I assume that what they call"phase" is the active connection, the neutral is marked and are side by side like the old one, pilot is idicated and is the wire that bridges together with the other switches....you are only left with two...."load1" and "load2" whichever way around I apply those I can only get my inside burner to run. I am baffled !! My old switch operates both burners but keeps cutting in and out.

OK...I'm back with good news. I have obtained a Kleenmaid circuit diagram and now understand why the small element is the only one to turn on. The original switch/regulator CK 015C (now unobtainable) is configured in parallel and the replacement that you have is configured in series. The Invensys switches active on load1 and load 2. To overcome this you can reverse two of the connections to the ring itself. Leave the blue/white lead where it is and reverse the other two . This will put a Neutral to the centre pin and the active to the closest pin to the residual heat sensor.

I have just done this on mine and it works perfectly. I hope this will help you.

I have a Kleenmaid CH920XFF 5 burner gas cooktop. The ignitors on all 5 burners are constantly "clicking" as if they are trying to start/ignite. What is causing this?

It may be possible that you have to push the controls in and complete the turn off motion. Sounds like there is an electric spark control that is not turning off.

Kleenmaid CH600CE ceramic cooktop stopped working

U sure power is getting to cooktop ?- chances of all burners not working and/or going bad at same time is ridiculous.
Get out your VOM and start tracing the voltages back to point of inception.

Burn knobs and fan turn on, lights are on but the burners don't come on and there is no heat.

hello after looking at your wiring diagram the only thing it can be is a blown breaker in your home. half of it works off 120v of the 240v circuit and the heating elements off the other 120v line. so you are only getting half the power to your unit. turn the breakers off and on see if maybe it just tripped.but its not the cooktop. hope this helps please dont forget to rate me thanks ken

AEG FM 4500GR-a PNC 941177468: Keeps tripping circuit breaker

Possible there is short in the oven heater. You will need to check individually the circuit for short or leak into the circuit. Also if the trip is on a ELCB then this is due to an earth leak. Please check if there is leak on the wiring or a possible poor earth/ground connection at the outlet.

I need instructions for wiring in replacing a dual burner switch on a CVE3400B cooktop. The replacement switch is different from the original. Do you have a diagram for the new switch that shows how to...

We followed the instructions that came with the switch that addressed a "compound wiring" configuration. We also used the black jumper wire as shown in the instructions.
We got to this solution in a trial by error manner though, because the three of us working the problem were convinced the stovetop was wired in a "piggyback configuration" and tried that road first. It would have been helpful if the instructions had included an explanation of the switch manufacturer's interpretation of "compound" and "piggyback" configuration.
