1. The first thing you do is to remove the battery and the memory stick.
 2. second wipe your psp if it is wet outside...
 3. third is...(i think it's crazy but at least try this...) put your psp into a bunch of rice that hasn't been cooked yet, because the rice can **** up moist and wait a 24 hours, if it's still has water, wait for another 24 hours...that's all folks!!!

LOLOL! But whatta nice idea!

PSPs aren't waterproof electricial devices, so if somehow water manages to get into the PSP, the common sense so to.....
1) Get a new PSP. Can trade in for a new one!
2) Take your PSP to repairs... eg SONY.

..or don't do any of the above, dry out the water out of your PSP as much as you can.

Diss-assemble your PSP as much as you possibly can.

Let the water go away!

When 99.12345678987654321123456789*% (XD) of the water has gone, or when you think it's about time, assemble your PSP back original, see if it'll charge, see if itll turn on.
I highly doubt it!

If that doesn't work, then go to your finally options: 1 & 2!

I accidentally spilled water on my psp and when I tested to see if it still works, my home button doesn't work any more and my d-pad goes haywire. Is there some way to make it normal again?

i also had this problem just take the two screws from the back of the psp and take the hidden psp screw it is located in the battery compartment and a sticker is there (you will void the warranty ok)and after that check if there is any water in there and after that tighten the screws once more tightly, you can also go to the local gamestore they will do it for you(there is risk that you will will break your psp if you do it,but when they do it no risk)

My psp recently fell into a puddle of water and its directional arrows have stopped functioning .

Other parts of your PSP might soon stop functioning, because of the cause of it being in a-lot of contact with water... Best thing to do atm... is to bring your PSP to repairs.
SONY is one, but you can find other smaller electricial appliance repairers; technicians that are usually cheaper!

My psp's screen is blank even after turned on.

Use a PSP Repair Guide to open your PSP, clean the parts of the logic board that came in contact with the water and soap. You can use alcohol and paper towels or tooth brush.

My psp got water in it

If it was plain water (and not salt water) then leftover moisture/condensation may be causing the problem. Try this... it sounds really wacky but it often works: put your PSP in a box full of uncooked rice, completely covering the PSP on all sides. Leave it in the rice for a good 12-24 hours. The rice wicks away the moisture inside sensitive electronics.
