The VC-C4 uses a Canon WL-V5 remote control, available at B&H Photo here. They also have a power supply for the VC-C50 here. The VC-C50 is almost identical in specification to the VC-C4, it's just a newer model. The electrical power requirements are the same.

Can anyone supply me with the common commercial type number, JEDEC number, for the power supply output transistor in the Sharp VC-H982U video cassette recorder?

Type "Sharpe VC-H982U Service Manual" into Google and you will see a free PDF of it. That should tell you the number!

Canon VC-C4 vs Logitech webcam

DO you realize that this camera cost around 900 US$? - Might be a little overkill for VOIP.
Apart form that it is an excellent camera. Have look at the manual here.
The camera connects via RS232 (9DSub) or 8pin DSub and you can/have to download the software form Canon's web page.

Sansui SAN0901 DVD Recorder - Power Problem

Hi Pandjoy,
I have been struggling with the same problem and almost rebuilt the power supply before finding the solution. In my case it was a faulty capacitor-C4, next to the diode D4. Replacing C4 and the machine performed as new. I hope this helps. Cheers
