Why does my sons computer monitor only display a blue square with adjustment icons while the computer is running? I tried my flat screen monitor on his computer and it also would not turn on but goes into sleep mode.....

A wide screen display requires setting the appearance
procedures
1. right click on a space on the desktop without icons
2. select from a list prompt the settings with click should provide link with which to select the appearance setting
3. choose from the display icon prompt after clicking a pixel quality
4. a larger figure chosen from the list should decompress the screen pixels creating clear pictures though adjusted screen to fit the area
You need to hold the menu button for 15 seconds until the lock icon changes to unlock. Then you should be able to adjust the brightness of the monitor, assuming that the backlight is working properly. Hope this helps you.
Stephengibso, Have you tried removing or uninstalling the drivers one by one to determine which one might be the cause!! Can you move the monitor over to a different PC to prove that that the MONITOR is working correctly? 12fixlouie
i assume the monitor works on other machines. having said that, Look on the tablet pc for a FN (function) button and look on the keyboard for blue icons. One would look like a square. pressing that SHOULD toggle 3 settings: 1 is use tablet display, 2, use monitor display, 3, use both displays. That is how it SHOULD work. You might want to look up the manual for that tablet pc to see exactly how it is done.
I'm not sure what operating system you're using nor what you mean by your "home page". If you mean your browser window doesn't fill the whole Windows desktop, what happens when you maximize the window?
If your desktop looks huge with tiny icons (and tiny-looking windows, if you have any open and not maximized) all clustered in the middle of the screen, your display resolution may be set higher than you're accustomed to. In most versions of Windows you can go to Control Panel | Display, see what your current resolution is, and try adjusting it. The higher the numbers, the "bigger" the desktop area (and the smaller the icons and everything else). If you adjust the resolution higher than your monitor can handle, you may lose your display and have to restart the computer in something like Safe mode to get to Control Panel and readjust it. If you adjust the resolution lower (or run in Safe Mode) your icons may not fit on the smaller desktop and may get scrambled. In that case, first straighten out the display resolution, then move your icons back where you want them.
Hi..there,
Blue color display mean... your pc not detecting the monitor. Check all cables, make sure it's plugged in tight or replaced a new VGA or DVI cables. Still the same problems. could be your Graphic card are busted... Try plugged into another computer.
try to set the display setting on your desktop here your gonna do 1.go to the control panel 2.go to the display settings 3.and then settings 4.advanced 5.try go the brand of your video card 6.then set the color to default
could be an issue of his resolution and refresh rate settings are close to being out of range for the monitor. Try lowering these settings to get better performance.
