Count same Words in a Cell

I fell asleep at count 100,

IS "A" a word or "THE"?

I wrote (coded)a C++ program once to count all words of 4chars or equal.
or 3 char, your rules your Job.
so can you , If you want it';s like day one class on programming this, counting chars, finding 4 more in sequence.
first buy the book (In epub fmt) and then scan it and count.
or cover the epub to text file, for more easy work, (hint)
let the PC do all the hard work.
if you look on top programming sites endless free example exist.(on this)
but why do this? most want page count. not WORD.
you could just get the average # words on 1 page.
and multiply pages by that. easy no?

at last count there were more than 100000, 8 letter words in the dictionary
what word do you want us to pick for you?

The number of pages (printed?) would be a function of font size & margins. The number of words would be easier to get a handle on using something like http://ginstrom.com/CountAnything/
or the word counting feature in WORD.
Unfortunately you'd have to open the files to get a count; easy for a few but not so easy for 16,000 files. :(
You could 'count' a sampling of files, then estimate the rest based on file size to word count correlation.

Or you could 'print' the files to PDF & then merge them into a single PDF document. This would give a better printed page count. The could be done on a sampling basis.

If you and I want to count to three, you will count one, two, three, and I will count one, two, three, too.

Perl is a great language for this type of problem.

I recommend using Perl, and installing the Lingua::Phonology::Syllable module. Here is a working example:

# @word now has features set to indicate a syllabification of
# <shep><herd>

the rules state "find any 3- 4- or 5-letter word". This is why it will not count your 2-letter words.

I am not very sure about what program you would like to avail the word count, but if you mean microsoft word (office 2007), follow the instructions below:
Open the Microsoft Word, > (1.) Right-click on the status bar, >(2.) Select "Word Count", now you'll be able to see the number of words on the (3.) status bars as shown below (labelled 1, 2 and 3)

at first select the 1st page data and select data-subtotal from the upper menu list.
then enter the formula as =sum(1stpageSubTotal,2ndpageSubTotal,3rdpageSubTotal) then Press Enter.

If not solved pls get me that data as to reference.
