My grill element belling xou177 duel grill does not work, i carnt afford a new one was told be an oven specailist he would disconect wires for £30, i carnt afford this either, i need to know whic wires to disconect and isolate. i desparatley need my oven , the grill i can do with out for a wile. please help.

If you can locate the wires to the element, simply pull them off, and tape the ends of the wires to make them safe, make sure you mark them so you know where they go back.It will probably invlve you having to remove the rear panel to gain access.

Question edited for clarity.

Yes, normally you remove the door for ease of access, then remove the shelves and access the element from the front. Then undo the fixing screws and pull the element forward. The contacts have enough wire you can pull the element forward to undo the electrical contacts. Make sure the power is OFF! See the videos.

Check the wiring on the elements for a short..sounds like a ground short

HOW DO YOU INSTALL A REPLACEMENT TOP OVEN GRILL ELEMENT IN A XOU500SS BELLING DOUBLE OVEN

remove the appliance so you can access the back panel. Make sure it is switched off at the wall and unscrew the nuts holding the element in place. disconnect the wires making sure to remember which wire went where. unscrew the screws holding the element inside the oven and remove. Reverse process to install new element

hi you dont mention the model but all bellings have a thermal cut out (Limpet stat) the formats have one on the right hand side . remove the side panel to get to it . other models may be at the back, Also can be under the hotplates if freestanding cooker. look for a button sized cylinder 15mm dia 10mm deep with 2 wires connected. or follow a common wire back from the elements( one of them will go there).

It wilbe a faulty oven element, you will need ti fit a new one.
It is located at the rear of the oven, behind a removeable cover.

Belling oven stopped working

It is most likely the element needs replacing although it could be the oven thermostat.

I would try a new element first, it is not a complicated job to change the element but you need to switch the power off at the wall before you start work.

If you are unsure or in doubt about carrying out the work seek professional help.

Fan and grill works but not heating up

Hi.
If the fan is working o/k, then you need a new fan oven element fitting.
Remove panel at rear of oven compartment, there you will see the element, undo any screws you can see to remove rear cover.
disconnect element taking care not to loose wires, and fit new element. test before you refit rear cover.

Roper oven model FEP310GW0. Oven will not heat The oven on my Roper model FEP310GW0 will not heat. I replaced the safety thermostat but that didn't fix it. I checked the bake element and it has continuity. The broil does not. Neither element heats at all. When the control knob is turned the indicator light does not come on. The surface heats just fine. I'm at a loss as to what's wrong.
