The fridgefreezer has power but no cooling or freezing

A blinking orange light on appliances such as refrigerators and freezers indicates that the "supercool" or "superfreeze" feature is active. These features are designed to quickly cool or freeze the contents inside the device. A flashing light serves as a visual cue that the unit is actively working to quickly cool or freeze food. Once the desired temperature is reached, the light will stop flashing, indicating the unit has completed the cooling or freezing process.

This can be caused by a defective defrost timer. As to whether this is your issue I would need to plug one in, there is no way to really test them except by symptoms, such as the one you have.

These types of refrigerators usually have cooling issues related to defective defrost heaters and failed evaporator fans. I don't believe the compressor has failed. The compressor has a run capacitor and a separate klixon, contact, and fuse attached to the compressor shell that has a tendency of failing. I would check that. It usually makes a clicking sound, but the compressor will not start.

Does the compressor kick on at all?

see if the back panel inside the refr comes off if it does and u have a fan back there make sure it is working if not make sure its gettin power to it and if it is and not running then replace it and see if this corrects the problem if this fails see if u have a duct going from the freezer to the refr if u do take it apart and see if somethings blocking the airflow or if it has a door thats stuck shut and not letting air go thru

maybe it is leaking somewhere

It's just simple.Keep the refrigerator open for few days with power on.After when the electricity bill comes,eveerything will be cooled.
