Hi there got a dgm 3203h 32" lcd tv and when i switch it on i get no pic or sound all i see is the a green light which starts to flash green/red when i press the on please help

Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filter cover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected

the green is the reboot process and is normal.
the red light is an error code indicator.
count the blinks of the red light...it cant be 30 times (I think)
it will blink a sequence, pause, then do it again for a total of three times.
count carefully, it gives you three chances to catch the number it is blinking.

Yes you can but it won't be Hi def. It sounds like you're trying to connect the cables to the Hi def input (Red, blue, green, white and red for the audio) That's not the right place to connect to.

I have a Sylvania LD320SS8A and I turn it on and the green light comes on and no picture???? Just black... I can hear some sound but no picture...

Either the logic board or the power supply have failed and in either event I would strongly urge that you not even attempt the repair and just go purchase another (BETTER) Tv... I don't often tell people this check my posts. But that unit is simply riddled with problems and VERY VERY difficult to get parts for.. Samsung or Hitachi have some good bottom end LCD's (we in the industry call throw-aways) comparable in price and FAR better Tv's than the one you have there...

On some LCD TV there is a filter for image correction, look in the TV menu and try to turn off this filter if available, also there might be a setting for full screen (stretch) and so on, play around with that.

A 5 blink error indicates a bad lamp driver. However a lamp may possibly cause this too. I suggest putting a new lamp in if you have one just to verify the lamp is not the problem. If it still fails with a new lamp then the lamp driver is the problem. This part should be replaced by a Sony authorized servicer. The lamp can be replaced easily by you. The lamp replacement instructions are in the TV's owners manual. Good Luck
