get a multimeter and connect the black probe to the metal part of the closed box, connect the red probe to the middle pin hole of the sattalite input connector and tune into a channel

You shold be getting around 13v +/- 2v
OR
+18v +/- 2v

If you are not getting this your tuner has failed.

I found out the hard way about mine the first time that i turned on the water and it poured all over the ground. Maybe you can help me where is your lp tank on yours i can't find it on mine any ideas

Hi there,

Aside from having it reseated professionally, you could use clear silicon sealant to close the gaps and secure the glass.

A tube costs about three dollars. You apply it with a caulking gun. If you take your time, you can fix the problem permanently and it will still look like a pro did it.

Best regards
Mike

The next time you have the motor home out and about, stop at an autoparts store and have them test the alternator output. There could be a faulty voltage regulator causing the problem or you could have a bad engine ground. Follow the negative battery cable down to where it is grounded on the engine and make sure that it is clean and tight. Check the insulation on the cable for broken or melted insulation. Also check the condition of the wires that go to and from the alternator for any signs of damage or shorting out. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Problem w/1988 pace arrow motor home

Don't know if you're still looking for a solution to this or not. The '88 Pace Arrow has THREE batteries. (I have one parked out front). Two of the batteries are connected in parallel and these are the "auxiliary" batteries. The third battery is the motor/start/engine battery. Unless someone has rigged something up, I'd bet your engine battery is missing entirely. The engine battery is responsible for vehicle starting and _anything_ that comes in a normal vehicle... ie everything in the dash. The auxiliary batteries run everything in the back... lights, water pump, etc.

Try pressing the auxiliary start button near the key when you turn on the key and see if anything happens. This is effectively a "self jump start". If it does, I'm sure your engine battery is either bad, not connected properly or missing. If it doesn't, it's probably still a battery issue, but there's probably something else wrong too.
