Nero burn problem

I made a avi movie file to burn on Nero 6. I had success with several masters and then have used recode to burn the copies. However, after several burns and masters later, the burns are failing at different sections and says it can't read certain files. Can you tell me why it would work and now won't?

Did you open up the avi for editing at any point? If so, make sure the avi (and any other files) aren't in use by any other programs. To make sure, you could simply copy all the files that you previously burned, and paste them in a new folder. Once they're all in the new folder, try burning them from there.

Hi ,
For video , use NERO Recode
For data , use NERO Burning Rom
If the issue persists , try using burning with another unit and compare the results . If you are still stuck , change software . If this still doesn't work , install Malwarebytes and make a full deep scan of your system ( http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html )
One of these solutions should help .

Using Nero 9 trial, when burning dvd's some come out all blocky

It may be that the player or tv isn't capable of decoding the dvd properlly, I do this also like 5 this week. I can tell you what I know works, and I can give you the codecs that you may be missing, you are previewing it through nero correct? Let's try this first, go here and sign up for a fre account, it sounds like you will make good use of the resources available. www.hashhu.com. , here are all of the codecs, http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_lite_codec_pack.htm ,
Download a program named convertX to dvd. It's on the site Hashhu, the codec pak, may enable you to get nero to function as you wish, but the convertX programs is so much easier, just put a disk in the dvdrw drive and drag the fie in, it will automatically convert it and burn it to a high quality disk. My wife hates to watch movies that I burn off the net, but even she can't tell the difference withh this, Good luck, and if you ever want to know anything about copying or burning, it will be on that website, Peace ,Gym

Nero 8

Hey there WWID, I use nero vision to convert VTS from PAL to NTSC. When converting AVI or other formats, I use ConvertXtoDvd, or Winavi as a second choice. These programs can also burn to DVD when finished conversion. ConvertXtoDvd seems to also override some protective features found in some video files, which I believe was the case with the problem you mentioned earlier. Good Luck!

Dvd

depending on what the file you have theres several ways .You didn't say whether you want to copy or make a dvd movie so i'll give you a few ideas get nero once installed then you need a dvd writer-not a dvd rom the rom will only read and the write will write then get some dvd r+ or dvd rw + insert if you want to burn a file from your pc like a dvd movie which is in dvd format, not an avi file from a torrent site but a dvd rip then place a new dvd in your burner select nero and tell it to burn the dvd with the options for dvd if you want to copy a dvd use nero's options to copy there are other programs you can use it's all up to you

Archos 704 Wifi - does not play AVI file until its full lentgh

I had the same issue.
The size of the AVI cannot exceed 1gb or the end of the movie will never play.

I had a movie that was 1,7gb. 2 hrs and 15 seconds.
The Archos recognized this as a 1.7gb file and 2:00:15 long.
As soon as the movie started, the time line bar at the bottom of the screen went from 2:00:15 to 1:10:25. Basically, it cut off the last 50 minutes of the movie.

I simply divide the movie into 1gb chunks.

I decrypt the DVD to the computer
Use Nero Recode to convert it to and MP4. Divide the movie into 1gb chunks and Maximize the Volume.
Use SUPER to convert it to an AVI / MPEG-4 / MP3.
Copy this to the Video folder of the Archos.

This is simply something that Archos does not want to admit is an issue. They want you to purchase the Cinema plugin.

Converting .DAT files to DVD Files

I guess that this file is from a VCD? If you just burn that file onto a CD as a data CD it should play in your DVD player. The AVSEQ01.dat file is already a (S)VCD file. It is in MPEG format and should be playable on a DVD player as is. Alternatively you can import the file you want to burn into nero vision. Once it is imported then choose to export the file as an MPEG file or burn direct to DVD. Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!
