Most of this hardware has not been supported by Dell to use with Vista or Windows 7, however, if you find drivers for windows 7, it uses the same cire as Vista so they may work.

The sound card present is Analog Devices ADI 198x Integrated Audio. Driver available is for XP and 2000. This may or may not work with Vista or 7 but there is a good chance it will. IF not then you may need to search for custom drivers, call Dell support or move to a better system.
just format the drive and install the os windows 7 again.. connect it to the internet while installing it.. once done with the installaion.. click on the volume icon on side tray.. it will search for the solution online and will automatically install the drivers.. i have the same model desktop and i am using win 7 with all working... good luck!!!
